Did Someone Say Matching Shirts?!

Are you a matching shirt family?  Or are you thinking no I would never be caught dead in matching family shirts.  To be honest my family is a bit of a mixed bag when it comes to matching shirts.

We try for our “big” trips to have matching shirts and it is really only because I think it is fun and love trying to pick them out or create them.

If you are thinking I don’t want to be standing out in the middle of a crowd.  I am here to tell you that you won’t be.  There are so many people that wear matching shirts.  There are families with matching shirts, friends groups, couples all wearing some type of cruise themed matching shirt.

Matching Shirts for Theme Parks

If you are heading to Disney or Universal chances are you are going to see tons of people in matching shirts.  It is kind of the “in” thing to do when going to a large theme park- especially if it is your first time or you are celebrating something special.

In our Disney Park travels we have seen so many people with “First Disney Trip” shirts which makes the trip extra special.  Disney also gives out special celebration pins so these can be added to your outfits.

Here are a few of our Disney Trip Shirts

We really enjoyed our matching shirts in the park that said “Mom”, “Dad”, and then the kids names, or they could also say son or daughter.  These ones were fun.

We have ordered from Etsy for our matching shirts.  Also we have tried our creative side using a cricut machine as well to make our own shirts.

Even if you have done matching shirts before you can do them again they are not a one time thing!  We get matching shirts for pretty much all our Disney trips.

Matching Shirts for Cruises

Have you gone on a family cruise before?  If not check out this post if you are thinking of taking one Packing for Family Cruise – Together We Can Travel.  The excitement of matching shirts is the same for cruises as Disney World.  In fact I almost think it might be even more common on cruise ships.

I have seen large families of 20 plus people all with matching shirts- so fun!  Also bachelor or bachelorette parties, and grad trips.  Basically any reason that you could think of for your trip you can have a shirt for it.

We typically only wear the shirts one day and it is usually on embarkation day.  This is also when I notice the most of the groups wearing the shirts.  Now I have also seen people wearing matching shirts for the whole trip!  I just do not have the time to be that organized at this point in my life but I do think that would be fun!

We find that the excitement for the trip is definitely more when the kids get to be wearing matching shirts for the trip.

Especially if it is the first time doing the trip.  For us these pictures were the first time for a Disney Cruise but also just cruising in general.  So the kids loved having the matching shirts to mark this special trip.
