Discover the Beauty of Niagara Falls Ontario
Are you looking for fun for the whole family in Ontario this summer?! Then look no further than Niagara Falls. Niagara Falls is full of fun, excitement and even relaxation for the whole family.
Places To Stay
Niagara Falls has many different options of hotels to fit all budgets. Depending on whether your preference is to see the falls right from your room or be away from the action a bit the options are endless.
Our family favorite is the Embassy Suites Niagara Falls. Niagara Falls Canada Hotels – Embassy Suites Fallsview
There are so many benefits to staying at this hotel. We love that the rooms are huge, they have many options of 2 room suites which are perfect for larger families. The indoor pool is huge and great for swimming or relaxation. Breakfast is included at this hotel so for a large family like ours that is a huge perk. This hotel offers an evening reception with 2 cocktails included for adults.
This hotel is a bit further away from the action on Clifton Hill but it is easy to access by either walking or jumping onto the public transportation.
One of the other hotels that we enjoy in Niagara Falls is the Country Inn and Suites. Hotel in Niagara Falls, ON | Radisson Official Site | Radisson Hotel & Suites Fallsview, ON
There is an indoor pool and free breakfast here as well and it is closer to the action and excitement of Niagara Falls. This hotel is great if you are looking to access Fallsview Indoor Water Park or the Casino Niagara.
Places to Eat
Niagara Falls has restaurants for every budget and options if you are looking for something quick or wanting to sit down and enjoy a nice family meal. The Rainforest Cafe in Niagara Falls is an exciting dining experience for families. With it being the only location in Canada it is also unique for families to try out.
Though it can get a little loud and could make some kids nervous it is really exciting and a place that we try to enjoy when visiting Niagara Falls.
Niagara Falls also has a TGI Fridays location which are also pretty rare to find in Canada.
The snack options are endless, from chocolate at Hershey’s Chocolate, to Beaver Tails and so many ice cream options. You will definitely not go hungry when visiting Niagara Falls.
The Falls
We have been to Niagara Falls so many times but every time we still are in awe of the beauty. We love finding different viewing points in the areas. Throughout the summer there are many nights that there are fireworks at night and the the falls lit but with lights at night is such a beauty.
Journey Behind the Falls is a really fun activity and super exciting for both kids and adults.
Though not available on the Canadian side anymore the Maid of the Mist is a really cool experience as well. These tours do still run on the American side of the falls.
For the Kids
There are so many great attractions on Clifton Hill Niagara Falls. There is really something for every thrill level including :
- Mini Golf (indoor and outdoor)
- Haunted Houses
- Laser Tag
- Arcades
- Museums
- Fun Zones
There are usually more that one option for each type of activity. I wouldn’t recommend doing all of them but just choosing one. Then if you visit again try something new and eventually you will find your favorite. Arcades are a good example, there are a bunch! But our favorite is the Great Canadian Midway | Niagara Falls Tourism.
Water Parks
Niagara Falls Ontario is also home to 3 large water parks open year round! Our family has tried all of them and each has their own benefits.
There is Americana Waterpark and resort. This one is a bit away from the action of the falls and Clifton Hill, but close enough by car or bus.
Fallsview Waterpark is right in the middle of all of the action. If you are staying by the falls then this is perfect to not have to go anywhere. There are a few hotels with direct access to this waterpark.
The third waterpark in Niagara Falls is Great Wolf Lodge. This is the most expensive of them all but will also give you the resort feeling as they have so many optional amenities. Our family loves this waterpark but generally we go on off season when the price is less but sometimes you can find good deals.
