If you have read any of our other travel posts our family loves Disney World. We love the magic, the parks, the characters- we just LOVE DISNEY! If you too are a Disney Lover- then Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party is a must try event for you. If you have tried Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween party this is another top notch Disney experience.
Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party is a special ticketed event so your regular park admission will not work for this event. It only takes place at Magic Kingdom- though Disney has lots of Christmas beauty at the other parks too. It generally begins at night around 7pm but visitors with this ticket can generally start entering Magic Kingdom at 4pm. Event dates are released early in the summer and it takes place on select nights in November and December. If you are planning a trip to Disney before Christmas keep this in mind as you plan because tickets for this event can’t be purchased before mid July.
What to Expect at Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party
I kid you not- this event is Christmas on overload. It feels that you have truly entered a Christmas Magical Wonderland. All of Magic Kingdom is transformed with beautiful Christmas Decor. As with the Not So Scary Halloween Party there are themed parades that are sure to entertain the whole family. Magic Kingdom is known for its night ending fireworks display and the Very Merry Christmas Party does not disappoint with the Christmas Themed Fireworks Display.
Disney has beautiful live shows and entertainment all throughout the year and the Very Merry Christmas Party has beautiful displays of Christmas Magic in these shows.
Characters
One of our kids favorite parts of Disney is seeing all the characters. There are so many great photo opportunities to see your favorite Disney Characters Dressed up in their Christmas Best. Because these events are special ticketed events and limited in number the crowds and lines are usually less than on a regular day at Magic Kingdom. This will give you the chance to see more of your favorite characters. Be sure to grab a Christmas themed Autograph book https://amzn.to/48ZaE46.
Grab some festive ears to get a great photo with your favorite characters https://amzn.to/3Jb4OSP.
Festive Easts and Drinks
Disney doesn’t miss a thing when planning the special events for guests. There are so many delicious festive treats to try. This special ticketed event includes complimentary hot cocoa, and snacks scattered throughout the park. You can enjoy them all night long.
Exclusive must try snacks are available at many locations throughout the park as well. You can pick up some cute Disney water bottles ahead of time here https://amzn.to/48sZVyJ.
Rides and Attractions
The list of available rides guests can enjoy at the Very Merry Christmas Party may vary each year but the top attractions are usually available.
For 2025 the list of attractions with a Holiday Makeover according to Disney are:
- Space Mountain
- Tomorrow Land Speedway
- Mad Tea Party
- ‘Jingle’ Cruise
- Monster’s Inc. Laugh Floor
You can catch many other classic attractions available in Magic Kingdom. The more popular rides in Magic Kingdom generally have shorter wait times during this special ticketed event so be sure to ride them all.
