Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Night!

Are you planning a trip to Disney World around Halloween? If so I am so excited for you, it is one of our family’s favorite times of the year to visit Disney (second to Christmas of course).  As with everything- Disney goes over an above for Halloween.  From breathtaking decorations, to delicious and unique sweets and treats to special character sightings.  This special event is held on select nights between August and Halloween at Magic Kingdom Park.  This event is a special event ticket only.

Tickets go on sale in the spring or early summer and range from $109-199 US per person.  These events are known to sell out fast especially the closer you get to Halloween.

For 2025 the Dates for the Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party can be found on the official Disney website Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party | Walt Disney World Resort,

What is the Not So Scary Halloween Party?

This special event is one of the many added extra magic events Disney puts on.  From about 4pm in the afternoon until 12am Magic Kingdom is transformed into Halloween night – everywhere.  There are limited tickets sold to this event so crowds are definitely lower than on a typical park day.  Genie + tickets can’t be used at this event but with the lower crowds they are not needed.

But- since it is all about Halloween trick or treating is involved- yep you heard that right!  Bring your trick or treat bags or buc

kets because you will be getting quite the candy haul at this event.

Throughout the park there are various candy stations that you walk through to receive your candy.  Don’t worry it isn’t just one treat per station- you can end up with huge amount of treats from this event.

During this event you will be lucky enough to see characters that only come out for the Not So Scary Halloween Party- these are must see character sightings.  Be sure to check the guide so you know who you want to try to see.

Hocus Pocus Villain Spelltacular on the castle stage 🧙‍♀️

Best Tips for Attending With Kids

  1. Arrive Early – Get to Magic Kingdom by 4 PM to make the most of your time.

  2. Bring a Treat Bag – Disney provides small bags, but bringing your own (especially for kids) is smart.

  3. Dress for Comfort – Costumes are encouraged but keep Florida’s heat and walking in mind.

  4. Skip the First Parade – The second Boo-to-You Parade is often less crowded.

  5. Prioritize Must-Do Activities – Whether it’s meeting characters or riding attractions, make a quick plan!

Top Snacks & Treats to Try

I love all Disney snacks when visiting the parks. But at Halloween one of the best parts of MNSSHP? The limited-edition Halloween treats found throughout the park. In recent years, Disney has offered:

  • Pumpkin spice Mickey waffles

  • Candy corn soft serve

  • Monster cupcakes

  • “Not-So-Poison Apple” treats

The Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party is sure to be an unforgettable night for you and your family.  Though it may feel expensive for an evening, Disney truly goes over and above for this special time of the year.  If you aren’t attending right on Halloween then your kids can get double the trick or treating, once at Disney and Once at Home.
